Another Report About The Fromhomedataentry.com Scam

Yesterday I sent an email to support@fromhomedataentry.com inquiring about their business. I asked Ms. Cooper some questions that my readers might want to know. Here's the email and her responses:

Ms. Cooper,

I have some questions regarding your company that I hope you can answer. Your response will allow you to add credibility to your companies line of work. Please know that your response, including any lack of response will be posted on my blog.

Q. How do companies contact you to utilize your service?
A. This information that only the owners know of and not even I in customer service am given this information.

Q. What is their benefit for using your service?
A. They benefit by knowing what on there website that they need to change to make it more effective.

Q. According to your FAQ, these companies pay you and you in return pay the reviewers. Several forums post responses from your company and indicate that no payout will be made from ANY company because of Terms of Service violations. How is it that NONE of these companies want to pay?
A. If the terms are followed then the companies will pay if they are not followed then the companies will pay. If the terms are followed on half of the assignments then you will be paid for half of the assignments.

Q. Is EVERY assignment incorrect?
A. If someone did not get paid for any assignments that means that not even one assignments were according to the terms.

Q. Why not payout from the companies that have no problem with the assignments?
A. AS was mentioned earlier any assignments that are according to the terms are paid for.

Q. If you're company has to review EVERY assignment, wouldn't you make more money doing them yourself?
A. Our company does not review any assignments, we send them to the companies so that they can review the assignments.

Q. Why do final communications from your company come after 90 days from the time the initial fee has been paid?
A. It never takes us 90 days, it takes 6-8 weeks from the time that you request payout for us to send the assignments to all of the companies and for them to reply back.

Q. Why are there no Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, or Contact information listed on your site?
A. We have the terms listed on every page of the website which is all inclusive.

Q. What were the qualifications for your site to receive a "Scam Free Certificate" from Scamfreezone.org?
A. You cannot have any outstanding complaints to remain a member of Scam Free Zone.

Q. Why are responses from your company and affiliates rude?
A. As far as what the response's are from our affiliates, unfortunately we are unable to control that. If you feel that a customer service rep is being rude to you, then please report it because we are required to be very professional.

Today I'm contacting the local news stations and newspapers in the Seattle, WA and Meza, AZ area to see if they can help provide additional information about Fromhomedataentry.com and Scamfreezone.org.

Now the "Contact" info for Fromhomedataentry.com state that you cannot contact them because they are concerned of spam (and they should be). However as a website owner myself I know that C-panel (the back office for websites) offers email services so you can send professional looking email.) You may recognize them from the @companyname within the email you receive (admin@companyname, support@companyname). By the way I find it interesting that Mr. Bell from Scamfreezone.org responds with a free (gmail) and unprofessional looking email account (robert.typeinternational.bell@gmail.com).

Some of you have commented that you cannot contact anyone from Fromhomedataentry.com...I'll show you how you can send them an email. You can send correspondence to support@fromhomedataentry.com, admin@fromhomedataentry.com, or even jerks@fromhomedataentry.com. They will receive ALL email. Keep in mind that they do have the option within their C-panel to block your IP address (after several emails they will), but keep at it anyway!

Scamfreezone.org and Fromhomedataentry.com Are Scams

Not much to report on the Fromhomedataentry.com scam unless you consider the following relevant.

Scamfreezone.org who provided them with their "scam free certificate" has some shady dealings going on. It appears Mr. Robert Bell has somewhat of an ego complex. If you recall my last post he stated in his email that I should "Get a real job and stay off the internet." So I decided to reply with the following:

Mr. Bell...not a good nor professional answer. Get a real job? That makes it sound like Fromhomedataentry.com is not a legit company. Furthermore, the original email I was going to send was going to inquire as to why your company doesn't do their own research on a company as you wanted ME to provide ALL the info. All of which can be found by doing a simple search by the way. Seems as if you have a low requirement before issuing certificates.

Now let me tell you that I have found the name Robert Bell and Typeinternational.org to be associated with their own scams. And you are providing "Scam Free Certificates"? You are the one who needs to get off the internet you F**K! (edited for this post).

As for Ms. Cooper's reply....this is not my first rodeo with companies like hers and it won't be the last one I manage to shut down. I do hope you are prepared as you state.

With that said I've updated my blog with your correspondence and will continue to expose you!

Here was his response:

"Have fun and I really wish you lots of luck in your endeavors. Sounds like you are jealous to me because I am so damm smart and have 10 Million members behind me and a large Hedge Fund who feeds me."

Well after I laughed my ass off I couldn't help but wonder why anyone would be jealous of him for being so damn smart. Damn smart because he found a way to SCAM people? That only requires a lack of conscience!

And the 10 million members...c'mon!!!! The best marketers don't have such a list...Ashton Kutcher has about 5 million followers on Twitter! I find those figures hard to believe Mr. Bell...and who gives a shit about your Hedge fund. What a shame you have to pat yourself on the back for what appears to be exaggerations.

This morning I had two emails from Mr. Bell; the first simply stated "bring it on". The second
invigorated my efforts to expose more of the facts...here's how it read:

"I would be real carefull what you say as I will sue you for whatever you have and more.I can afford very good legal people and have won many cases from assholes who let their mouth run up their asshole so go for it."

Ok Mr. Bell let me provide you with some information. As president of my own corporation I am very
familiar with how the law works (including internet laws). Fortunately; I've not found the need to seek as much legal counsel as you have (must suck...legit businesses don't have this problem). I'm only providing the FACTS that are available to EVERYONE on the internet.

As a matter of FACT, the Better Business Bureau has given two of your websites/businesses an "F" rating. See the links at end of this post.

FACT, Scamfreezone.org has a list of "Approved Scam Free Sites" that don't
even display your seal! Not to mention that most don't have Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, or
Disclaimers listed on their sites. A legitimate businesses would have ALL of them! Your own site doesn't even list them. Based off your responses and my research it's safe to say that Fromhomedataentry.com is a scam; as are you sir (and I use the term loosely).

Ok folks, if you're here because you're researching these sites then you need to know that it doesn't
matter what their "Terms" state about NO REFUNDS-NO EXCEPTIONS, you can get your fee back and seek recourse. Here's how:

Legally you have 90 days from the time you "Paid" to dispute a charge with Paypal AND your credit card company. If you don't finish your assignments or haven't received your "Payout" within 88 days (buffer zone) then contact "Paypal (or whoever the payment processor is), your credit card company, or financial institution and file a dispute for a refund immediately.

These institutions are required by law to "Hold" funds until further investigation.

Tell them that you believe you were scammed and state your case. Then...

Go to the website for the BBB and FTC and file complaints with them. Follow up with your financial institution and provide them with the case numbers from your complaints. And...

Keep ALL correspondence, including the "assignments" you received and sent (they are your proof).

If the legal time frame has past, FILE A DISPUTE ANYWAY (it creates a record). Spread the word
folks...it's the only way innocent victims can seek recourse.

Ok, this post may be lengthy since I have emails to include. I contacted scamfreezone.org they provide the scam free certificate that fromhomedataentry.com uses on their site. My first correspondence came from a Mr. Robert Bell and was cc'd to the owners of fromhomedataentry.com asking them to please reply. Immediately I received a reply from a Tina Cooper (Customer Service Rep) which stated:

Hello,

It never ceases to amaze me how people twist the truth to make us sound like a scam. We have only ever given ones excuse or not paying, and that is because the work was never completed. People have submitted assignments over and over without even completing any work and then get mad at us because they are not paid.

We pay all of our members that actually do the work, and we have proof of that on our website. It really upsets me that people try to scam us and then have the audacity to turn around and lie about us making it sound like we are the scam.

I can tell you that there is no way we would even be considered to be certified scam free if we even tried to scam someone.

We all work so hard to be able to provide a legitimate opportunity for honest people to earn some extra cash, and these people are ruining it for those who are honest.

I understand if you do not trust us, because really all it comes down to is that it is our word against theres. We are not going to try to convince you to try to join something that you are uncomfortable with. We only want people to join who really want to.

At this point I responded to the email with the following information:

Ms. Cooper, thank you for your response. I've received an email VERY SIMILAR to this in content and tone from a site called Realdataentry.net. I've yet to figure out how your company makes money and have a few questions that I hope you can answer. First of all it's a common knowledge that you don't pay someone so you can work for them, it's a red flag for scams. Second, how do your website owners contact you? It's not listed on your site that you offer the service. I'm sorry but I have many a question that leads me to believe otherwise.

Mr. Bell, thank you for your quick reply. Per your email I would like to further state my case.

Note: Following this email are links providing support for the claims below noted by *.

Regarding the site Fromhomedataentry.com. Their Terms of Service* do not state that assignments will be reviewed. The review process takes up to 7 weeks. From the time of initial payment, adding the time it takes to complete the assignments and the review time, the legal limitations to file a claim with your credit card company (including Paypal) have been exceeded (90 days).

It also appears that this website had a Scam Freee Certitificate* from another
company at one time. Why would the last company drop them, or why did they lose their certification?

Mr. Bell if you did a "Whois" search for fromhomedataentry.com you would find that
EVERY status regarding this company shows as "Unknown" except for the servers which
are owned by them. A legitimate company would list contact information; their terms
of service indicate you can not reach them by email because of spam concerns.
Sorry, a legit company HAS to deal with spam...it's part of the business. If you
call the phone number on their site you recieve an authomated voicemail that
doesn't even tell you the name of the company you contacted.

I've done some research and have found that their Terms of Service are 75% SAME
content as the Terms of Service from another site called Realdataentry.net who has
a reputation for scamming people. As a matter of fact there are several similarities
such as, sign up fees, number of assignments that need to be completed, the Free
Trial, etcetera. It is my opinion that in fact the two companies are related/owned/operated by the same person.

There is a blog that exposes this company/person in detail*. I don't know
about you Mr. Bell but ALL these facts throw up a red flag to me! This company is
not concerned about the hard times people have come across and they have found a
way to victimize poor unsuspecting and gullible people. Your company does not want to be associated with this type of business. With today's vast social networking a bad name in e-commerce goes a long way and spreads quickly. Exposing these types of companies seem to be the only right thing to do.

Mr. Bell, once again I want to thank you for your reply. I hope I've presented a
case that warrants your immediate action to deny them a "Scamfree Certificate" and
that you understand that fromhomedataentry.com should be listed on your site as a
scam. Please do yourself and your company a favor and do a "Google" search for the
keyword fromhomedataentry (minus the .com) and notice the negative sites that are
associated with them.

This morning when I checked my email I had a follow up from Mr. Bell and Ms. Cooper. Here's what Ms. Cooper had to say:

Hello,

Well I just look at your article and while there are a few similarities, you have listed a bunch of half truths. Most of what you have mentioned below is not even accurate to our site at all. The price is not the same as you stated it is and you also stated that the amount of assignments you have to complete is the same which is also not true because we do not have any minimum requirements.

You say that there is enough evidence to show that we have committed fraud, however no one has ever been able to prove that we have. We have proof that shows that we pay all of our members that follow our terms, as well as plenty of proof that any member we have not paid has not followed our terms.

Being that you are not even a member of ours I am not sure what it is that you are trying to accomplish here. It is not like we can offer you a refund or anything like that.

You are mentioning a lot of inaccurate information in your emails, so you might want to get all of your facts straight, and get all of the information before you go and try to go up against a company, because we are more than ready for whatever it is that you have to throw at us.

Here's the email from Mr. Bell:

You got your answer now stop bothering them before they sue you.Get a life and a real job and stay off the Internet.

Tsk, tsk Mr. Bell....not a good nor professional answer. In fact I did some research on Mr. Bell since his email came from a robert.typeinternational.bell@gmail.com. It seems that if you did a Google search for typeinternational (minus the .org) you will notice that Mr. Robert Bell shows up in several searches as a scam artist himself. And his company Scamfreezone.org is offering scam free
certificates?!?!! No wonder the "Whois" search form scamfreezone.org comes up with all the status listed as "Unknown"!

I'll post later my new findings and other responses from these crooks!

Fromhomedataentry.com Scam

Ok folks here we go again. Fromhomedataentry.com seems to be the spawn of Realdataentry.net. Remember them? They were a spinoff of Dataprocessors.org. Their scam has once again been refined and it's time to expose and shut down their site.

Here's what they've changed: the terms of service are now listed on their site, make sure you READ THEM. If you remember in one of my earlier post I mentioned the terms were not listed until after you upgrade. Here's a shock...75% of the content from their terms are duplicate to the terms for realdataentry.net!

They've also added a "Scam Free Certification" to their site...I'm currently researching this and I'll let you know my results as it appears this is their second certification. Wonder why the first one dumped them?!?!

They've added a phone number to their site that when called does not identify the name of the company....you only get to leave a message. Looks professional but then again so did the other site that made you feel all warm and fuzzy by pushing the family thing. Remember my tip about using the site Whois.net? Well it seems ALL the information for this site is listed as unknown except for the name of the servers they use (which they own).

Anyhow, stay tuned as I have been doing other research and I'll post those findings as soon as I can.

It appears that Ms. Woodard reads my blog...you see this is the only place you can get THE most complete information for the creator of the realdataentry.net scam. Now in my last post I listed two links that shows Ms. Woodard's likeness. The bitch also knew it was a matter of time before her victims would notice my blog and therefore closed her account at flixster.com; one of the sites I listed in my last post.

Staying one step ahead of her I managed to acquire the photo used in her flixster.com profile before it was closed. Only the true owner of realdataentry.net would remove her profile once she was identified; so I knew I was on the right trail.

I don't think Natalie realized that if you have an online presence then there is enough information available on the web that will eventually identify the real you! The way I see it is I'm one step closer to shutting down the awful realdataentry.net scam.

Natalie Owns The Realdatatentry.net Scam

So I've mentioned in an earlier post that I knew the identity of who owns the realdataentry.net scam. I mentioned that I received an email that came from their private email account. Now you can contact her directly at natbug81@gmail.com

So who is natbug81? Iv'e discovered her identity to be a Ms. Natalie Woodard. I also know that her last location of residence seems to be in Escondido, California. Now I've found a YouTube video that I believe reveals her likeness which resembles her profile picture on another site. You can see both by clicking the links below.

Now here's something I thought was rather funny. You see, I've informed Ms. Woodard (I'm being kind here) via emails through support@realdataentry about the possibilities of a class action suit...since there seems to be so many victims. Ironically, it appears she has become a victim herself of a scam and she had the nerve to comment on a forum with the following statement:

Subject: I want to sue these b******ds

"If anyone wants to be a part of a class action lawsuit againsts this company email me at natbug81(at)gmail.com this company needs to be brought to there knees! "

She seems to have a different opinion when the rabbit's behind the shotgun! Furthermore, who in their right mind would list their personal email address? Oh...and the idiot has one to many asterisk in her subject line; not to mention her grammer skills could use some improvement.

Let's see if Ms. Woodard still feels EVERYONE violated the terms of service now that her identity has been revealed...seems to be a great start for pursuing a class action suit ourselves!

G.S. Hargrave A Victim Of Scam

On May 29th I made a post about the email scam from gshargrave.com. I sent an email to Mr. Hargrave regarding my findings and found his reply to be rather sincere. I want to offer him the courtesy of an explanation; following is his response:

I just saw your letter below for the first time. My gmail account is set to auto-forward mail to my POP3 service, and this one either didn't make the trip or was inadvertently discarded. I only found it after accidentally running across your Spam Me Not entry last night, which prompted me to go to my gmail account. Your Spam Me Not post came up as I was doing a Google search on my own name, out of simple curiousity concerning how easily it might locate my website.

What I read in your post came as a very unpleasant shock indeed. Believe me, I have nothing but contempt for spammers and the purveyors of malware, and couldn't quite believe what I was reading. I quickly noted, however, that the webhost you mentioned was in fact my own. I also noted that the link you posted was a variation on that which leads to my legitimate website, the obvious difference being the "versa1" prefix; the first part of the address to my legit website begins only with my name.

As created, my website consisted only of topical text, a few photographs, links for internal page navigation, and a couple of relevant external links. There was absolutely no other content of any kind--most certainly nothing malicious. I even posted my contact address as an image file, so as to provide nothing that would attract the attention of spidering spamming software.

Perhaps unwisely, I clicked on the "versa1" link you posted. That took me to what is essentially a clone of my own legitimate website--with the apparent addition of some sort of mechanism that downloads malware. I immediately knew something was up last night because I'm on a slow dial-up connection. While my pages were designed to download fairly quickly over such a connection, the "versa1" clone just kept on running, evidently having started an unauthorized download in the background. Worse still, I could not close or navigate away from the page in a normal fashion, and was unable to shut down Internet Explorer via the CTRL/ALT/DEL command. Each time I shut down the program a new instance of Explorer would open, with the download continuing. Finally I simply killed the power with the surge protector switch, and then booted back up, dumped my temporary internet cache, and ran a full system virus scan. That fortunately revealed no problems. I was probably only able to interrupt what was undoubtedly a malware installation by virtue of having a slow connection. On broadband all of that probably would have been completed before I could have reacted--or even suspected. I was nearly a victim of "my own" website!

First thing this morning, I checked my website folders on my internet host. Sure enough, password protection nothwithstanding, I'd been hacked. There was a "versa1" folder that I never created, containing duplicates of my legit site files, and--although I can't ID it--presumably something to facilitate the transmission of malware. I immediately contacted my webhost and got a prompt reply. He told me quite a few of their other customers had the same problem. This has been coming to light as people on their customers' own mailing lists have slowly figured out the likely source of their increased volumes of spam mail. Unfortunately, they couldn't detect which sites were infected until such reports came in.

I'm going to pull all of the "versa1" files from the server ASAP. Hopefully that will plug the breech. Then I'm going to migrate my legitimate site along with my webhost service to his own new service provider. The fact that he's moving his entire operation may suggest that he has his own clear suspicions about the initial source of the malware.

Though none of this has resulted from any deliberate action or particular carelessness on my own part, I do sincerely apologize for any trouble it has given you. It's a helluva thing on my own end: I'd set up that site with the intention of furthering my efforts as a writer. Instead, I picked up a d-mn parasite that can create serious problems for anyone clicking on the wrong link, with all of that being directly associated with my own good name. I actually own you a thanks, because had I not run across your Spam Me Not page I might not have become aware of the problem for a very long time. Who would have considered the existence of an infected clone of one's own website, that is unknowingly associated with your own good name on Google? I don't often review the content of each file on my host server. I generally only pay attention to what I'm working on, and I've only worked on things rarely.

I can't say that I blame you at all for concluding that I personally had something to do with all of this. In your situation, I would likely have concluded exactly the same thing.

Realdataentry.net scam and Google Comments

If you have a Google account (email, analytics, etc.) and use Google as your search engine you may have noticed that when you do a search there are several new options available. After an inquiry you will notice that next to the "title" of the site are two buttons; one that has an "up arrow" and an "X". If you were to visit the site you could decide to move it to page one on Google if you liked it by clicking on the Up Arrow. Or, you could select the "X" and remove it from your search all together. However, that's not the best benefit available. You see just below the description you will notice the words "Cached" and "Similar pages"; next to that is a "comments" bubble which allows you to place PUBLIC comments for all "Google" users to see. That includes your experience with realdataentry.net!!!!!! Hopefully Google is analyzing the comments and using that info to build a database to eliminate the scammers from trying to cheat honest hard working people. You now have a voice...express it! Make sure you check back soon, I have other information about the owner of realdataentry.net.

Who Is Natbug81?

Every day I read more about people being scammed by realdataentry.net. What I don't understand is after being warned of this company why people STILL sign up with them! Well after you get ripped off you'll want to know (like everyone else) how to contact them. The fact is they have the ability through their website to block your IP address so that they no longer have to deal with you. Furthermore because of Privacy Policies, their web hosting service and bank (Bank of America) will not provide you with ANY information. So what next? You research as much as you can, file the appropriate complaints, and wait for them to make a mistake. And make a mistake they did! Now before I tell you what I've discovered, let me inform you that the best thing you can do (in case a class action suit is taken against them) is to SAVE ALL the emails and assignments they sent you in a folder. Your email provider lists the time and date these were sent to you and also includes any duplicate assignments (which they claim if you submit, violates the terms of service...hence no payout)!

Now let's get down and dirty! Did you know that your email contains a link below the content called "Full Headers" that when opened shows several details of the orgin of the email? Well I sent an email to their hosting account ezwebsolution.net and received a nasty email that had the same tone as the responses I received from realdataentry.net. It appears "Tiffany" wanted to know about my complaints to the FTC (which included complaints about ezwebsolution.net) then claimed that they've seen "proof" of payments and felt I should not post their name in any forums or blogs for fear of spam! A professional and legitimate company would not respond in this manner nor have anything to fear. By the way if they're concerned then maybe they should do some research themselves and discover what we all know. It should be their responsibility to cease hosting realdataentry.net.

Anyway I managed to locate several IP addresses within the header and ran them through some programs that listed more information and oddly enough I discovered there were 5 other websites associated with that IP address. Of course I wasn't surprised when one of them was ezwebsolution.net...realdataentry's hosting provider! And dataprocessors.org...the other scam listed on my blog! Now I must admit that I didn't want to pay $20 to find the two other sites associated with them...I had enough!

Let me get back to my email situation. During all my inquiries someone forwarded my complaint to the owner of Realdataentry.net Shortly afterwards I received a response that read in part that "...I was the one trying to scam THEM!" Fortunately they replied using their PERSONAL email and from that I was able to do more research and found that nagbug81@gmail.com has quite the online presence. If you do a search just for natbug81 you will see some of her other endeavors and you'll even a glimpse of her. Now I thought I might be jumping to conclusions however natbug81 is not a common user ID...it's unique.

Now I don't want to make this post too long so I will list names, and other personal information in another post. I also have a Google trick that will let you post public comments below their websites description when doing a Google search.

While checking my email I noticed that there were a couple of "email failure notices" listed. When I opened the email I discovered that a program was sending emails to my ENTIRE list of contacts. The subject line stated "$$$ Online Casino-The Secrets Of Online Casinos". Of course I reported the abuse to Yahoo but I wanted to do some of my own research. When I opened the email I was able to do a Whois.com inquiry based off the URL http://vers1.gshargrave.com/makemoney.html. Whois.com indicated the hosting account was ns.awenwebservice.com. When I went to their website all they had was a graphic with NO links or any way to access the site....it was a bogus page. I then decided to look up just gshargrave.com and found the site to be innocent enough; however when I did a Google search for "gshargrave" I found their description to be rather odd. Below is a screen shot of that result. Do you smell a rat?!? The site below had a Contact page so I immediately sent them a nasty email.

Just Ask For Work-At-Home Scams

Here's another resources to look at when trying to figure out if a Work-At-Home opportunity is a scam.

First do a search for the name of the company in question. In this example we will use Realdataentry.net as they seem to be the top scammers lately. Usually if someone has been scammed and have filed reports or commented on a blog the sites below your search will reveal additional information.

Notice that in this example ALL the sites below our search list Realdataentry.net as some kind of a scam. In fact as of this posting the reports on scams for them runs up to page 5 in Google. That's a lot of people bitching about them. REALDATAENTRY.NET IS A SCAM!

Now if you're still not convinced you can just ask someone. There are several sites like Ask Jeeves, which I believe is now Yahoo Ask. Anyway just type into your browser and inquire. You will find someone who has information if a company is scamming people.

Dataprocessors.org...Legit?

So in some of the forums I've visited there seems to be concern that Dataprocessors.org may be closely related to if not created by the same person of Realdataentry.net. In fact if you go to Dataprocessors.org you will notice that the site is plain and simple. Note that they feature 3 sites for working at home and the first site happens to be Realdataentry.net.

Now once again you will notice that there is NO contact information on this site....what are they hiding from? However this site seems to be directing traffic to affiliates and with that said they would not be responsible for the conduct of those affiliates. They should however be concerned that they are associated with scammers...it makes them look bad also.

My gut feeling is that Realdataentry.net is cut from the same cloth as Dataprocessors.org so I did a little research. Again using whois.net I discovered that Dataprocessors.org and Realdataentry.net use the same hosting account located at http://www.ezwebsolution.net/. Coincidence? I doubt it.

I was rather successful shutting down the site for Realdataentry.net by contacting their ISP or hosting account. They shut the site down immediately. Realdatentry.net then signed up with ezwebsolution.net and when I contacted their support I received threatening responses. Is everyone associated with Realdataenty.net an asshole? Could it be they are all part of the same team? I will keep you posted. Oh and by the way continue to contact ezwebsolution.net and voice your opinion about these cheesy companies they are hosting. Remember they have an obligation to shut these sites down (if they care about their reputation and possibly legal actions). Then report the website in question to the FTC and inform them of their web hosting service. Good luck, I will keep you posted.

Another Scam By RebateProcessorJobs.com

So here's another company to keep an eye on it's called RebateProcessorJobs.com and it's the product of Cindy Dalton. This was presented to me in an email from trafficsupply-24.com. When I opened the email I noticed that I was redirected to the site for RebateProcessorJobs.com...sneaky I think. However this may just be an affiliate and not from Ms. Dalton herself. Again, I received another email from highlypaid-onlinejobs.info/ which opened up to....you guessed it RebateProcessorJobs.com. Again, probably another affiliate.

Now using the Rule of Thumb for investigating scams I checked the following:

Who Can I Contact If I Have Questions

What Is Their Refund Policy

What Info Is Available When Searching Reviews and Forums

What Info Is Listed With Whois.net

Here's What Happens

They do put a twist on this scam that makes it seem legit even when you become a member. There is a one-time $39 membership fee. What happens is you are sold training material on how to process rebates. They have you become a Clickbank affiliate and you market their digital products or E-books. The twist comes in when they suggest you offer a rebate on those products.

Now Clickbank is a reputable company and is a leader in digital products. However, these products when sold by you only offer a percentage of the sale. Commissions can range from 25% to 75% of the products value; so if you MARKET why would you want to offer a rebate and take less of that commission? That doesn't make sense since you can join Clickbank at no cost and keep ALL the commissions.

Notice I screamed market earlier? If you are looking for a legitimate work-at-home opportunity then you don't want to do any marketing period. It is a very difficult to be successful with Internet

Marketing. They will also suggest that you look into PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising which can be costly if you don't know what you're doing.

Now as I've said before you NEVER want to pay someone so you can make money....it doesn't make sense.

Using The Rule of Thumb

On their site they inform you that the only contact is via e-mail...red flag.
Their refund policy states No Refunds...red flag. Although you can fight this, see my other posts.
Forums and Reviews of RebateProcessorJobs seem to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

If you're not sure what work-at-home programs are legit here's another red flag to look for. Think about it this way: If you were to work for a brick-and-mortar business they would require you to fill out a lot of paperwork right? One of those forms is the W-4 which requires ALL employees to complete for tax purposes. OK you're not at a physical work location, but did you know that the money you make on the internet is considerd taxable according to Uncle Sam? This is true for any company doing business in the United States; even an internet based business would have you complete this form. If your work-at-home company is not providing this form BEFORE work is completed more then likely they are scamming you.

Now you may be saying to yourself that you are an Independent Contractor. This means you work on an as-needed-basis and not as an employee of any company. You would then be required to complete a W-9 or 1099 by the employer...get it? A legitimate company would see that you completed the necessary paperwork if they plan on paying you.

If you become a victim inform someone. If your complaint is registered with a reputable site then you have a better chance of getting a refund; and possibly be part of a class action suit. Here are more sites where you can register a complaint:

The National Fraud Information Center at http://www.fraud.org/ is a good place for filing a fraud report in the United States.

The National Consumers League at http://www.natlconsumersleague.org/ has great tips on how to avoid internet fraud as well as an option to register a complaint.

When using the BBB or The Better Business Bureau keep in mind that internet businesses do not need a physical place of business. Therefore Internet companies cannot always be located as websites can be hosted anywhere in the world. Unless they are registered with the BBB then finding the state the company is located in may prove to be difficult when inquiring with the BBB. But do use them for their resource as they are still a valuable asset. Heres their

Finally you should file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ as they are The Keepers of Trade (including the internet) and if there are enough complaints they will step in.

The Realdataentry.net Scam

In my last post I mentioned that I would identify programs that are scams. One of those on the net today is Realdataentry.net. They operate very much like the crafts scams I spoke about earlier. First I would like to tell you what to look for as this site provides the perfect examples.

Now I must admit that the marketing of this was done rather well. Notice how you get that cozy feeling. You want to believe in the value of family and their promises. Not to mention you get to try it for free, who wouldn't believe this is real? Now let's look to see how all that comes to play.

The fact that they offer a free trial only adds to the situation. When you upgrade from the trial they seem to have problems on their end and they use those problems to their advantage. Now think of this, you would be paying them so that you could work for them. Now that doesn't make much sense to me. If you upgrade there is a part-time and full-time postition available for $19.95 and $49.95. They are calling this a one-time setup cost that is non-refundable according to their terms of service. Now speaking of terms of service you will not be directed to that page until AFTER you pay for the upgrade. The terms are pretty basic.

1. You are not allowed to submit the same assignment more than one time. Submitting the same assignment more than once is a cause for account termination.

2. You are not allowed copy information from the website in order to fill out the questionnaire. Not only is this a copyright violation, but it is also a form of cheating that will not be tolerated. If you copy information from the websites you are reviewing your account will be deleted and you will not be compensated for your assignments.

3. All of your assignments should not look alike. If all of your assignments look exactly the same we will assume it is because you are sing form filling software and this is a form of cheating and your account will be deleted and you will not be compensated for your assignments.

4. You should not repeatedly miss clear mistakes that are on the websites. On many of your assignments there will be clear mistakes that you will only see if you are reading the entire information. You will see things such as "oyu" or "hte" on these websites to test if you are actually completing your assignments. You need to find the mistakes , and then provide the correction for the mistake. Failure to continually miss these mistakes will show us that you are cheating and your account will be deleted and you will not be compensated for your assignments.

5. You are not allowed to complete an assignment if the website you are reviewing is down. If a website is down or not working, you are required to report it to us immediately. Completing an assignment when the site is down is cheating and if you do this, your account will be deleted and you will not be compensated for your assignments.

6. You are required to use complete sentences being as descriptive as possible when you are completing your assignments. If the site is about a new sleeping pill and all you type is "sleeping pill" then that is unacceptable and you will not be paid for those assignments. You must also use proper spelling and grammar in your assignments. Abbreviations are not acceptable. If most of your assignments look like this then your account will be deleted.

7. If you are a full-time member, then you are guaranteed to receive at least 3 assignments per day for at least 10 weeks. After the first 10 weeks, we will send you additional assignments as they come in.

8. If you are a part-time member, you will receive at least 1 assignment per day for the first 100 days. after the first 100 days, you will receive assignments as they become available.

* If your account is disabled to a breach in our terms no refund will be given. NO EXCEPTIONS.

How The Scam Works

After you upgrade you review 100 websites for grammatical errors and complete a 4-5 question survey about the site. You can request payout when your account reaches $1000. Now it may take 2-3 months to complete these assignments. Upon requesting payout you will receive an email informing you that your work needs to be reviewed and the process may take 2-4 weeks (not listed in the terms of service). Usually at the end of the fourth week you will receive an email telling you that you were in violation of the terms of service and your account has been deactivated. No other correspondence will be made with them. Smells like the craft scam!

How To Seek Recourse

By the time you get that dreaded email almost 3 months have passed. This is the legal time frame with which to file a dispute with your credit card company (within 90 days) and most will inform you that there is nothing they can do. However, file a dispute anyway and then contact the merchant service provider (payment processor) used by realdataenty.net and inform them of your situation. Currently they are using Alert Pay and they are aware of the situation. They will issue a refund on your behalf but only if realdataentry has those funds available.

Now you will not be able to get information regarding the owners of realdataentry.net but here's how to keep others from becoming a victim. Go to the website http://www.whois.net/ and do a search for realdataentry.net and look for the section that says:

Domain servers in listed order:

ns1.ezwebsolution.net

ns2.ezwebsolution.net

This is the web hosting account. Currently it is ezwebsolution.net. Contact them via their "contact us, support, or email" link and inform them that you believe they may be committing internet fraud. They have an obligation to shut the site down. Inform them that you will also be filing a complaint with the FTC and ic3.gov. Continue to complain until they close the site...it is your right as a consumer! Oh...then file a complaint with the FTC and ic3.gov. Their site was shut down by their last web hosting provider and they will look for another hosting account. When the site comes back up use this method with their new web hosting account.

One last thought; learn to identify some red flags. I was wondering how one would do business with them and have a site reviewed, yet there is no way to do business with them...RED FLAG. I believe they own most of those sites you review with the hope that you PURCHASE something at some point! Boy they really have perfected the internet scam.

Avoiding Scams

Welcome, it is my goal to keep trusting people from becoming victims of scam, and to help them find recourse in the event they are.

So you signed up for a work-at-home program on the internet and you hope you didn’t get scammed, right? Well there are safeguards to avoid becoming one of those victims.

Remember when stuffing envelopes was a big thing? First you pay for a start up kit, once it arrives you receive instructions asking you to place your own work-at-home ads to other unsuspecting victims. Not only did you get scammed…you now have become the scammer!

Now here’s another one that has been around for years…craft assembly scams. You pay to receive a set of crafts and instructions, spend hours assembling them, return them and then you are informed that your work was unsatisfactory. Now you are out for the work you did, the fee, and they keep your crafts to sell…dirty rats!

Here are a few things to look for when searching for a work-at-home business. Never pay someone who wants you to join their program. This seems to be the most common scam today. Companies are charging administrative or training fees and in most cases theses fees are non-refundable…always read the Terms of Service! The idea is to make money, not give it away. Look for free listings as they provide the better choice.

Once a red flag goes up what do you do next? Before signing up for anything, do a little research.

First contact the Better Business Bureau they have information on companies that have complaints against them.

Do a Google Search for the business in question and add the word “Reviews” or “Scams”. There are a lot of people who have been scammed that want to share their experience.

Look for a phone number or address on the website in which to contact them. A reputable company would have this information listed. Don’t just look for it…call them to make sure the number is legit.

Go to http://www.whois.net/ and enter the company website to find out more information. This site will list phone numbers (if one was added), but most important you will find the web hosting provider. If you become a victim contact the web hosting service via their “contact us, support, or email” link. Inform them you may have been a victim of a scam. If enough complaints are made they have an obligation to shut down the site.
